Woodstock Diamond Dance Festival June 11

The Woodstock Diamond Dance Festival will present a multicultural program of dance and music on June 11. Two separate programs will be performed at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Woodstock Diamond Sokolow Dance Theater, located at 1766 Glasco Turnpike. The programming includes a range of humorous to abstract themes as well as multicultural works.

Artistic Director Linda Diamond is a firm believer in “The Show Must Go On”. His dance group is made up of very dedicated young professional dancers who are committed to the importance of this art form. The group of dancers includes Arianna Stendardo from Italy; Rathi Varma from India; Lihi Dor of Israel; Paul Gamble, whose family heritage is Panamanian; Nina Deacon, of New York; Linda Diamond was born and raised in Panama; and Luna Anata, 11, of Woodstock.

To remove is a Diamond first. She created this new work based on an inspiration from composer Johan de Meij.
