Tomorrowland’s One World Radio explores Swedish dance music history

This week, tomorrow‘s A world radio went Swedish and explored all the great about Sweden and electronic music with specials all week that started on Monday as part of ‘Made in Sweden’ week. Whether it be Swedish house mafia, Eric Prydz, Alesso or many, many other favorite Swedish exports, it is undeniable that Swedish artists have contributed immensely to the dance music scene as we know it. To celebrate, One World Radio has put together a stacked program to entertain every day of this week.

Monday – The Swedish House Mafia Story

Kicking off on Monday was the most popular Swedish trio in dance music history, Swedish House Mafia. An hour-long special on the history of the trio was explored by the resident presenter Adam k who explored everything from their breakthrough to their comeback which really exploded this year. Tuesday – Wayback Luke with Laidback Luke: Swedish Dance Scene

Yesterday, Laidback Luke took fans on a journey through the past, present and the ultimate future of the Swedish dance scene, including must-see and exclusive anecdotes about his relationship with some Swedish dance stars. In this episode of ‘Wayback Luke’ he talks about the song that changed his life, his relationship with Avicii, Sebastien Ingrossothe father of Vitoin the scene and much more. Wednesday – Relive the madness with MC Stretch: Made In Sweden

The legendary voice of Tomorrowland, MC Stretch transports fans to the sacred lands of Tomorrowland and performs some of the best Swedish dance pieces live from the festival for another edition of the radio show ‘Relive the Madness’. You can listen to it on the website from 9:00 p.m. CEST.

Thursday – Tomorrowland Friendship Mix with Alesso

Coming with a special edition of the weekly Friendship Mix that each time sees a different DJ take the lead, this week it’s Alesso. From progressive house to perfectly blended pop, this Friendship Mix will see a mix of golden favorites mixed in with Alesso’s new releases, ensuring the mix will be nothing short of spectacular. This mix will be broadcast at 9:00 p.m. CEST.

Friday-Saturday – Made in Sweden Top 100

Much like their annual broadcast of the Tomorrowland Top 1000 Anthems countdown which invites fans to vote for their best Tomorrowland anthems, they have invited fans to vote for their best Swedish dance music anthems. Thursday is the last chance to vote, and you can do so here before listening to the results tomorrow from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CEST. On Saturday, the show will be replayed for those who missed it, with a Spotify playlist of all songs due to be released as well.

Sunday – Sunday morning Playlist with Dada Life

At the end of the “Made in Sweden” week, eclectic duo Dada Life picks up One World Radio’s Sunday morning playlist at 11:30 am CEST.
