Italian Dance Music’s STEFY DE CICCO Drops New Track, “Things That You Said”
Italian dance music mainstay Stefy De Cicco teams up with established Dutchman and DJ/producer Faulhaber for their latest collab “Things That You Said”, featuring vocals by Cris O’Carroll. The new sonic offering reinvents The Police’s 1980 masterpiece “Voices Inside My Head,” infusing it with new EDM sensibilities. The new track follows Firebeatz and Stefy De Cicco’s “Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime” from late last month, in addition to FAULHABER and Crazy Donkey’s cover of Milet’s “Flare.” Now available through Universal Music Germany, “Things That You Said” is available to listen on all streaming platforms.
The four-on-the-floor melody begins with a pulsing bass, quickly followed by a driving beat and atmospheric vibe. The beat slows as the vocal seeps in seamlessly, providing a heady touch that is then sustained in its entirety. The deep lyricism details the workings of the mind, endlessly ruminating on the conversations and things said between two uptight lovers. “Voices inside my head echo the things you said” plays on a continuous loop, paired perfectly with hard-hitting, propulsive production courtesy of Stefy De Cicco and FAULHABER. Maintaining momentum with ease, the energetic opus serves as a fun, high-octane single that’s sure to ignite the main stages of festivals around the world this spring and summer.
