A festival celebrating 90s and 00s dance music will take place in Manchester this year

A new festival celebrating dance music from the 90s and 2000s will take place in Manchester this summer.

Flashback Festival, organized by dance generation, will take place at a yet to be confirmed venue in central Manchester on Saturday 21 May 2022.

A instagram the festival’s message reads: “From Euphoric Trance to Clubland Classics, Retro House to Groovin’ Garage and everything in between, join us as we take over Manchester in May!”

Although the lineup has yet to be released, it will feature more than 60 artists across four stages. According to Le Manc, the main stage will be a huge outdoor installation incorporating special effects, lasers and pyrotechnics, while a marquee arena will be hosted by a well-known party organizer.

As well as offering classic old-school rave anthems and club bangers, the one-day-only event will feature a VIP bar, fairground rides and an official after party.

More details should be revealed soon. You can sign up for ticket post updates here.

Another brand new festival, Flesh – the UK’s first LGBTQ+ electronic music festival – will take place in St Albans on May 28-29, 2022. This week London’s GALA festival also confirmed the final names who will be playing its edition 2022 in July.
