A big dance festival returns to County Durham

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated and world-renowned DJs will be hitting County Durham this summer as the lineup for one of the North East’s hottest summer festivals is announced.

Danny Tenaglia, Purple Disco Machine, David Penn, Robin S and Arielle Free are among the more than 30 big names heading to the Hardwick Festival this year.

Taking place at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield on August 20 and 21, tickets for the event are on sale now.

Award-winning Danny Tenaglia has over 30 years of industry experience and has produced countless mixes, including a Grammy-nominated remix of Depeche Mode’s “I Feel Loved.”

He will be joined by fellow headliner Purple Disco Machine, known for his multi-platinum single Hypnotized with Sophie and the Giants, as well as producing the official remixes of Don’t Start Now by Dua Lipa and Rain on Me by Lady Gaga.

Singer-songwriter Robin S will take the stage for a live performance, famous for his platinum hit Show Me Love, as well as popular singles Luv 4 Luv and What I Do Best.

And music fans can enjoy a set from radio host, producer and label founder David Penn, who was ranked the number one house music artist of all time by Beatstats and produced some huge anthems clubs, including Hipcats, Nobody and Stand Up.

Famous DJ Jeremy Healy, who has performed all over the world and worked on musical arrangements for many big names in fashion, Melon Bomb – a house and disco collective made up of four DJs from Ibiza – and Selena Faider , known for her high-energy sets.

BBC Radio 1 DJ Arielle Free will join them on the lineup following the release of her debut single Soul Full last month (January), featuring Jess Bays – founder of club brand Superstore – and DJ Pippi, who started his career in Ibiza more than three decades ago.

John Adamson, owner of Hardwick Hall, thinks there’s something for everyone on all three stages.

He said: “We pride ourselves on delivering a festival that showcases music from a range of genres and our DJ line-up this year is something really special.

“It’s fantastic to welcome huge international names to County Durham and it’s an amazing opportunity to see a whole host of big names in the industry throughout the weekend.
